The very first time we ever went to this doctors office we got stuck in a room with a nurse who complained for 15 mintues that she was suppose to be off of the clock because she had somewhere to be. After that first visit when we returned the second time they told me we had never been there before??? I had to refill all of our paperwork out again.
I just transferred my children to a new pediatrician... and I would not suggest ANYONE ever use this office or Dr. Rath. He does not pay attention or care about his patients at all and everyone who works for him at the Jasper office is a joke.
On top of that, the whole entire office staff is VERY rude, unprofessional, and they do not have their stuff together. So unorganized... when my daughter saw the ENT he also suggested I have her screened for sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a big deal. He also said he didnt know why my doctor had not mentioned that but to ask him to have her screened for it. So... we went back to Dr. Rath... and he never asked why when I told him that the ENT suggested she be screened he just said he would have the appointment set up. You would think as a doctor he would like to know whats going on with his patient at all times... a doctor who cares anyway. The woman in the front said she couldnt make the appointment that day but that she would call me in a couple of days.... I called every other day for 3 weeks waiting for her to schedule this appointment until finally I just asked for the number myself. I got off the phone with her called Elite Sleep Solutions and made the appointment within 10 minutes. After we went to that appointment they told me that my daughter did in fact have sleep apnea and that I would be hearing from my doctor within 10 days to find out what further steps we would need to take... and of course 14 days later I still had not heard from them. So, I called them to find out about the results.
First I was put on hold for 20 minutes, hung up on 3 times, on hold another 30 minutes, and then finally spoke to the woman sitting at the front desk just for her to tell me my daughter was never referred to Elite Sleep Solutions.... then she says she was but wanted to know why I was calling Dr. Raths office for the results. When I told her for the 10th time I was calling because THEY were suppose to call me and never did she put me back on hold for about 15 minutes and then came back on the line and said that she didnt have the results maybe I should check with Elite Sleep Solutions. I did, Elite Sleep Solutions faxed them the results 5 days after my daughters sleep study.
First of all, I am not one to complain about much. I am a very patient and understanding person. Especially when it comes to Dr offices and such considering I work in one. However...
This office is by far the worst Dr. Office I have ever been to in my entire life. I have 2 kids and this was their primary provider for about the past 7 months. My daughter was in and out of the ER and doctors office with sore throat and her tonsils were laying on the middle of her tongue... and every time we went to the Dr. Rath we were told she had a cold, flu, strep... or that nothing at all was wrong. When I personally requested to be referred to an ENT we were told that her tonsils were so enlarged it was blocking 70% of her airway and that they needed to be removed as soon as possible. He said that there was no way the doctor could not see that... it was visible to anyone physically capable of looking into her mouth.
Every time I call to get information I either get hung up on or put on hold for 30+ minutes and someone will pick up the line and ask who you are waiting for several times.
